Auto-Locking Glider Chairs
Auto-locking glider chairs are standard chairs, similar to maternity glider chairs, glide forward and back in sitting and provide a soothing/calming effect that eases the individual in the chair. Broda’s unique auto-locking feature offers a locking mechanism that allows the chair to glide for a calming effect. However, it locks the chair into a stable and secure position when the user shifts weight forward to come to standing. This is particularly well suited to individuals with conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s, or autism, who benefit from the calming effects of a glider but need the stability of a stable seat to transfer from.
Broda Rocker Chairs
The rocker feature, which provides an adjustable rocker piston (which can be locked out or tension adjusted if desired), can offer the ability to allow the rocking motion of the chair for individuals with movement disorders such as Huntington’s Chorea or other movement disorders or behavioral needs to allow for the rocking movement due to their condition or the calming effect. This rocking feature can be added to different Broda Wheelchair models to supplement the effect of these wheelchairs.
