How does the emergency lower work on the Butler IPL?
The overtravel release technique for emergency lower is as follows:
-
- Push down on the emergency stop.
- Hold the Joystick for 15 seconds or until the left moves.
- Release the emergency stop and run the lift down.
Manual emergency lower technique varies depending on the age of the lift and model. This requires (after removing the motor box cover), first loosening the “Release Brake” on the side of the motor with a flathead screwdriver, and then requires a manual crank with an allen wrench at the end of the motor to manually lower the lift.
Does the Butler IPL have a battery backup?
Yes, the Butler IPL has a battery backup feature which allows the unit to operate even if there is a power outage.
How long will the battery backup last?
In the event of a power failure, the standard battery backup will bring the platform lift up and down as many as 5 times, depending on the weight of the load, the age of the batteries, and the height.
How often should I replace the batteries?
We recommend replacement of the backup battery every 4-5 years.
