Often times in world of Universal Design Kitchen designs, a popular concept for counter height placement is the idea of varied height counters for individuals of differing heights, and positoins (seated versus standing). In the ideal world power assist shelving units are always a great luxury as they provide versatility and adjustability for multiple users, however for a number of different reasons this may or may not work best for any one individuals circumstance. One of the benefit of having a uniform counter height and strategic locations of stovetop and sink, is the ability to easly slide hot and/or heavy objects along the length of the counter.

We have designed a custom height cart that can be matched to any counter height and allow the individual user the ability to perform a sliding transfer of hot or heavy objects, then roll the cart to another matched height and eliminate the need to lift, but rather the ability to slide a hot or heavy object from one surface to another.
